"We can not worship what we do not know"
Does it ever cross you mind why there is so little teaching on the attributes of God? How can we worship a God that is foreign to us? Too few Christians have even a basic understanding of the Holiness of God, and even less understand the need for the fear of God. Any wonder why moral sin is condoned in the eveangelcal realm, or why so many leaders fall to sexual sin, or that the greatest fear is not the present accountbility of God but rather the fear of getting caught?
When the Holiness of God is preached sinners will fully understand the reality of Hell and believers will be faced with fearful fact of their sin and lack of Christ likeness.
Unless Holiness and continually preached man will always excuse himself and others, and worship will be either half hearted or non existent.

Can a Christian?

Can a Christian? -

Can a Christian vote and support a candidate or a party that supports and promotes issues that are contrary to the moral law of God? It is hard to believe that such a thing would be true.

How can a Christian who seeks God's Holiness vote to elect a person or party that supports Gay Marriages or Abortion? How can they reconcile this before the Lord?

What I see is a separation from ones beliefs and his politics, as if they are independent of one another. We vote for comfort, for financial security and for the freedom to spend our riches on selfish pleasures.

The reality of personal holiness too often is muted by the desire to live comfortably in a corrupt sinful world.

Personally, I would rather be poor and destitute in a godly nation and society than be wealthy and comfortable to spend it all in a society that hates God and is full of moral sin.

Monergism

Monergism "the Work of One"

Monergism: The view that the Holy Spirit is the only agent who effects regeneration of Christians. It is in contrast with synergism, the view that there is a cooperation between the divine and the human in the regeneration process.

By Grace and Grace alone.

It amazes me how many Christians want to take credit for the work of God. They have to have their "finger in the pie" claiming their place in God's program.

Sure, I repented of my sins and asked Christ to cleanse me, but that does not constitute my efforts in Salvation, rather a sinners response to years of conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Scared to Offend

I have been personally disgusted recently with the comments that I hear from too many Christians. Last week a leader said this to me, "The reason we don't want to have a Bible study is that we might frighten off someone" I was shocked at that comment. Is this the philosophy driving our churches today?

I though we were called to be ambassadors, which means our job is not to ignore the lost or to water down the gospel or to "improve" it or alter it in any way. Our job is to present it. period. The Holy Spirit is responsible for the acceptance of the message. When I or anyone tries to worry about the result to the point that we are no longer giving the message then we have in essence replaced the Holy Spirit and are trying to do His job.
Let's not ignore them into hell, tell them the truth and let the Lord do His job.

Our Beliefs

Christian Perspective Ministries in non-deniminational. Our purpose is revival and therefore our statement of faith is simple, at least in content, however it is rich in meaning.

"Salvation is found in our God, Jesus Christ, alone,
Obtained through Faith alone,
By the working of Grace alone,
As revealed in the Bible, the inerrant Word of God, alone."

This small statement encompasses so much historic theology. I will expand on this in coming articles.

Solus Christus - Christ Alone
Soli Deo Gloria - For God's glory
Sola Gratia - Grace Alone
Sola Fide - Faith Alone
Sola Scriptura - Word of God Alone
